Love is the Way Love Is
Ro’s personal work is driven by her own experience of the world: ENOUGH, in particular, recounts a very personal experience, and depicts her own alternate history imagining of these events. It’s a work full of indelible and well-observed details that fuses the period details of the moment with a larger-than-life emotional punch. INCLUSION, likewise, is an expression of her dreams of an ideal future, where the ideal man is not the idealized man, but rather one whose empathy and acceptance makes us all whole and beautiful. It’s a contrast of energies and color palettes, with great attention paid to composition and lighting.

Throughout her career, Seattle-based concept artist Jamie Ro has worked for a number of storied game studios, including the likes of Nintendo and Bungie. She is currently a senior concept artist at ProbablyMonsters, a family of game dev shops that includes Cauldron Studios, Firewalk Studios and RPG Studios.
